European Charter of Sustainable Tourism

The European Charter for Sustainable Development -valid for 5 years and having been updated in 2017-, promotes local strategies for a respectful tourism with the values of a Protected Natural Space, based upon the agreement and the commitment of all parties involved.

It aims at organising the tourist development of the territory so as to reduce the negative effects on the environment and the disputes about the use of the area, at the time that it improves the living standars of the local population and increases profitability from tourism.
